What you will be able to do

  • Walk into your next surveillance or transition audit knowing what the auditor will look for, with the evidence ready.
  • Show how top management promotes quality culture and ethical behavior, the requirement auditors will test first and the one most companies can't yet evidence.
  • Split your risk work into separate actions for risks and for opportunities, without building a second register or duplicating documents.
  • Plan quality management system changes the way the strengthened Clause 6.3 now expects, including impact on system integrity, resources, responsibilities and how results will be reviewed.
  • Update your awareness training so people know what quality culture and ethical behavior mean in their own job.
  • Add the new management review inputs on the effectiveness of actions for risks and, separately, for opportunities.
  • Use the new Clause 3 terms correctly and know where ISO 9000 still governs.
  • Bring a transition plan, timeline and resource case to your next management review that leadership can act on.

Course curriculum

Why This Revision Matters

What changed, what's new, what stayed the same, and what the transition means for your certificate.

Context and Terms

Climate change in Clauses 4.1 and 4.2 (from the 2024 amendment, now built in), interested parties, and the new Clause 3 terms and definitions.

Leadership: Quality Culture and Ethical Behavior

The new leadership expectations in 5.1.1, what auditors will ask top management, and how your quality policy can reflect them.

Planning: Risks, Opportunities and Change

Separate actions for risks and for opportunities, and the strengthened planning of changes in 6.3. The longest module, and the one with the most to update.

Support and Operations

Quality culture and ethical behavior in awareness and in the environment for the operation of processes, plus the documentation wording you'll see throughout.

Performance, Improvement and Your Transition Roadmap

New management review inputs and results, continual improvement, and a step-by-step plan from gap analysis to transition audit. Ends with your workbook submission.

What's included

  • Full course video, 6 modules covering every section of the 2026 revision
  • Student workbook with exercises, reflection questions, hands-on activities and a complete gap assessment checklist
  • ISO 9001:2026 Change Analysis, the 2015-to-2026 comparison, clause by clause
  • Risks and opportunities register template, with risks and opportunities addressed separately
  • ISO 9001:2026 Leadership and Commitment QuickStart (SOP-001) if you pay before launch

Who it's for

  • Quality managers and QMS coordinators who need to know exactly what changed and what to update
  • Internal auditors who need to know what auditors will look for before they're in the room
  • Top management who now have to show they promote quality culture and ethical behavior
  • Consultants who need to stay ahead of client needs and give confident transition guidance

A certificate that means something

Your certificate isn't issued when the last video ends. You submit your completed workbook, and it needs 80% correct responses to earn the certificate. That's how we verify the training worked, not just that it was watched.

Frequently asked questions

When do I get access?

The course opens LAUNCH_DATE. If you pay before then, you get the QuickStart right away and an email with your first step the day the course opens.

Is my ISO 9001:2015 certificate still valid?

Yes, during the transition period. Your certification body will set your transition audit date. This course gets your system ready for it.

Do I need to know ISO 9001:2015 first?

Yes, a working knowledge helps. This course focuses on what changed. If you're new to ISO 9001, start with our ISO 9001 Overview.

Is anything removed from the standard?

No requirements were removed. Annex B is gone, and its references to other ISO/TC 176 standards now sit in Annex A.

How is this different from the Leadership and Commitment Workshop?

The Transition course covers every change across the whole standard. The Leadership and Commitment Workshop goes deep on Clause 5 and builds your leadership procedure. Many teams take both.

We're transitioning ISO 14001 too. Is there a course for that?

Yes, the ISO 14001:2026 Transition course is available now.

Training your whole team?

Your quality team, auditors and managers all need the 2026 changes. A LearningPaths Corporate Training License covers your team across MSI's courses for less than buying seat by seat.
