Purchasing and Supplier Control Procedure Template & Guide ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 (Q/EMS)

Purchasing and Supplier Control Procedure Template & Guide ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 (Q/EMS)

$249
One combined, fill-in-the-blanks purchasing and supplier control procedure covering ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2026 quality and environmental provision in a single document — written as a completed worked example, not a hollow outline. Rates providers on quality and environmental effect, not spend; records the provider and output controls as a pair alongside the control-or-influence determination; and carries what a single-standard procedure misses — outsourced-process control, the life-cycle perspective and waste duty of care. Includes an Integration Record documenting where the two standards diverge, a Determination Worksheet, a process interaction map, an evaluation record built to act as the approval gate, a provider register, a desk-level work instruction and the maturity ladder the free assessment scores against.

Combined Purchasing and Supplier Control Procedure Template & Guide

One procedure for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2026

A combined quality and environmental purchasing procedure has to satisfy ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2026 at once. This template does it in one document, written as a filled-in worked example rather than a hollow outline, so every decision is already made and visible for you to adapt.

The requirement almost nobody implements

ISO 9001:2015 Clause 8.4.2 b) asks for two determinations — the controls on the provider and the controls on the output — and most procedures record one. ISO 14001 Clause 8.1 adds a second trap: it requires provision to be controlled or influenced, and because control is unavailable for most environmental aspects, the influence half is the larger part of the obligation and the part left undefined. This template records both, as a pair, in one place.

Outsourced processes and the life-cycle perspective

ISO 9001 Clause 8.4.2 a) keeps outsourced processes inside the quality system; ISO 14001 adds the life-cycle perspective to what you require of providers. Both are carried explicitly, with the interface defined in both directions.

What is in it

  • A complete, worked purchasing and supplier control procedure combining ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2026
  • Inline [Q]/[E] scope markers so an auditor for either system finds their clause fast
  • Appendix D — the Integration Record, documenting where the two standards diverge and what was decided
  • Appendix E — a one-page Determination Worksheet routing any provision through both systems
  • A process interaction map, an evaluation record built to act as the approval gate, a provider register, and a desk-level work instruction with a worked example
  • The maturity ladder the free assessment scores against, with Level 2 marked as a legitimate place to stop
